Thailand’s Wild Child Resort – Pattaya

PATTAYA – Many tourists say Thailand’s sin city is so good they should have named it twice but many others question whether the coastal resort in Chonburi Province is that cheap and tacky they should have turned off the lights years ago and buried the keys deep in the sand of its modest beach.

Labelled the sex city of Thailand, Pattaya does nothing to argue its case. Pattaya has around 2000 bars and restaurants which adorn this small and compact city, and in the majority of those bars sex is at the top of the menu.

For the beer swilling sex junkie it’s definitely a case of  “the planes crashed and I’m now in heaven”, because Pattaya is overflowing with bar girls, street girls and sweet girls with a ladyboy or two, on view, strutting the night away. Pattaya’s nightlife has a taste to tempt everyone’s sexual taste buds.

If you feel the need to party then pop in your ear plugs and visit the many bars in Soi (street) 7 & Soi 8. There’s also plenty of scantily clad girls in the go-go bars in Soi Pattayaland and don’t miss Pattaya’s world-famous Walking Street (photo right) which is jam-packed full of beer bars, go-go bars and nightclubs.

Pattaya does however offer the sober and fainthearted a modern city of shopping malls, markets, cinemas, internet cafes, a modest beach, various sports and some excellent value hotels. Add on Pattaya’s restaurants which cater for every taste under the sun and tongue. Delicious Thai, Indian, Chinese, European and many more cuisines are all dotted around the main streets of this wild child city.

Pattaya is an ideal single persons holiday and a damn good one for a broad-minded couple but a no-no destination for kids. Chonburi’s coastal city slice of sin is action packed and caters for the ultimate party animal but also offers plenty of attractions and sites to suit the camera snappy kind of tourist too.
