Rain relentlessly battered her face but she wouldn’t give up, sick and very weak she soldiered on, eyes forward eyes back, checking, checking for me. At times the water was up to her knees but she waded on to our target the drug store.
I led most of the time with Wi hanging on to the back of me but when it got deep there she was in front of me. I ain’t rich and I ain’t poor, never been deprived, maybe had it a little easy in life but I wanted to go back, my headucation told me dat but today I saw why I put the Wonderful before Wi.
We woke early in the village, Wonderful Wi complained that she felt unwell, sore throat a cold coming on, we packed and said our goodbyes to mama and by midday we were approaching Udon Thani where we would spend the last two nights of our holiday. It had been raining all day and by the time we’d checked into the Napalai Hotel the rainfall had increased into a very heavy downpour.
We’d brought two of Wis young nieces with us, they wanted to buy a jacket each for the coming winter months from Udon’s big shopping mall. I hit the hotel bar and Wi took them shopping and afterwards to a flower garden. She saw them safely onto their bus home and returned to me looking even more fevered. I suggested we both sleep for a couple of hours, she might feel better and me sober.
At 6 p.m we woke up , Wi feeling even worse and me a touch sluggish, even racked with a fever she still looked better than I did. I said I’d go to the pharmacy and get her something but she insisted and I objected but she said she was coming with me. I looked out the window and could see the roads were flooded, the heatwave was over, long live the heatwave. It was hissing with rain. Raining cats and dogs, more like tigers and great dane’s but she insisted on coming with me.
Today I saw once more why I put the Wonderful before Wi. I hope your day’s more full of stella than umbrella. Hoo Don

From Bangkok to Udon Thani and a Tale of Very Different Thai Girls
Been to Krabi a couple of times now, first time was in February 1999, then back at Songkran 2006. What a awesome holiday spot! It supplies for everyone: if your searching for neighborly Thai people there is masses of them,if your looking for great thai food there is a great deal and nightlife is rich. If you want a cheap holiday, you can have it – if you require an pricey vacation, you can have it also. My dad is really in love with the place and has just bought into a resort over there. My kids love it as well. What a fantastic place to celebrate Songkran!
