Catherine - Onion Bhajis. That interests me in another cookery post, maybe sometime in the future. I enjoy Indian food myself but my experience with Thailand is that it's a little overpriced, steak seems better value for money. Easy on the red wine and keep blogging, you are afterall in control of one hell of a good blog.

Mike - Thailand and wine. Myself and WW spent a pre new year break in Loei and we bought some Chateau de Loei, red and white, three bottles for about 1300 baht. Wilai really enjoyed drinking it and I must say I found it okay myself.
My opulent UK lifestyle has seen me this morning switch saving funds into a UK FTSE tracker, you live in hope. As far as Project Wonderful goes I am making about one cent a day but I personally think that eventually it will reward good blogs like yours. Best wishes.

Malcolm - Beef stew is my favourite and I've made it many times for myself in Pattaya and nowadays in Wi's village, you can't beat a good stew, morning, noon or night.
I was only joking about the grandmother bit, you know my writing style. My wrinkled one died twenty odd years back and she was a great lady. I'll look forward to the wine as I'm sure young Wilai will as well. Enjoy your day cowboy.

Martyn, being a chef and cook all these years for work to support myself and family while being a preacher ,I love to cook in fact just tonight I made a to kill for veggie beef stew, Ciejay gave me the thumbs up , which is a sure sign it is eatable. For sure I will be trying out the Potato chops very soon .I have also found that if you wear sunglasses while chopping onions there are no tears , but I'd rather have a few tears ,than some old lady sitting in my favorite chair watching my favorite movie. Malcolm
Ciejay and me are dealers for a wine ,made by Hanuman Winery in Chantaburi made from Mangosteen. We will drink to you and your little lady and will be sure that you get a bottle when you get to Thailand next time .
Again good humor and thanks for the recipe fot the potato chops .

HD clearly you have been a "single" man too long. Also can I ask if you have tried to purchase a decent bottle of red wine here without a trip to the ATM?

Your opulent UK lifestyle just rubs salt in the open wound of my declining UK based pension! Khao Khao and more Khao for me if I am lucky!

OK now seriously it sounds fun and tasty but as Cat says I might not get by the red wine and I don't have(thank goodness) any available old women.

BTW Sorry I forgot to comment on Project Wonderful on MTF. Not sure really all I seem to get are free riders I think I had 8 cents the last time I looked-no red wine this weekend!
