The Irish Clock bar, restaurant and accommodation - My review of Udon Thani’s most well known western bar which has a great menu and also has a special cut-price curry night once a week.

Bookhouse Coffee Shop and Restaurant
This is a top restaurant which offers quality food at value prices and the Bookhouse sits next to Udon Thani’s Nong Sim Lake. A great restaurant in a beautiful location.

The Khaosoi Tai Restaurant - This restaurant is off most tourists radar which is a shame because it specializes in traditional Northern Thai cuisine and its name derives from Chiang Mai’s signature dish Khao Soi. The prices at this restaurant are an absolute steal and the food tasty with a capital T.

Pappagallo Pizza Italian Restaurant - First class Italian pizza baked by Italian chef and restaurant owner Elio. Pappagallo Pizza also offers a wide range of Italian, western and Thai dishes too.

The Sea Side 2 Restaurant- The Sea Side 2 is a very good value for money restaurant with a menu crammed full of both traditional western and Thai dishes. The restaurant is in Sampantamit Road, right in the heart of Udon Thani’s nightlife area and sells good homely food at very cheap prices.

Best Bars in Udon Thani- Up2u Bar - The Up2u bar has a value for money menu, friendly atmosphere and is in the middle of Udon Thani’s nightlife area making it one of the best bars in Udon Thani and one that has a very good menu for both western and Thai food.

Chern Chim – Quality Western Food in Udon Thani – Chern Chim is predominately a wholesaler of imported western foods but it has a good snack and meal cafe in-house and an outside beer garden overlooking Nong Sim Lake. Chern Chim has a great range of imported western foods.

The Steak Baan Tung Restaurant in Udon Thani – This restaurant is about 40 kilometres from Udon Thani city and a couple of kilometres from Amphoe Phen. It’s a sweet country restaurant with a real value-for-money menu and well worth a visit if you are travelling nearby.

Nobi’s Bar and Restaurant in Udon Thani - Nobi’s Bar is in the lively nightlife friendly Soi Sampanthamit and is a popular place to eat for anyone looking for German food in Udon Thani. It also has popular western and Thai dishes on its menu and is a relaxing bar for a drink or two.
